Quantifiers Revision. Manic Miner.

Let's revise quantifiers before you try the Manic Miner game.

We use a and an for singular countable nouns.
We use the when those nouns are specific.
We use some and any for uncountable nouns or for plural nouns. Remember some is mostly used in affirmative sentences whereas any is used in negations and questions.
We use how many and a few for countable nouns, and we use how much and a little for uncountable nouns.
A lot of is used for countable and uncountable nouns, mostly in affirmative sentences.

Now that you have revised this, complete the sentences with the best option.

Hi! I'm going to help you revise quantifiers. Read the sentences of the game and complete them with the words "a", "an", "the", "some" or "any". Read carefully and think: Are the sentences affirmative, negative or interrogative? Are the nouns in the sentences countable or uncountable? When your answer is right, you can play a maths game. After studying quantifiers you may think learning all about them is a mess but trust me, it's not a big deal. Enjoy yourself playing this game. Choose the right option. If your answer is correct, you will have the chance to drive as fast as possible! Press the left and right arrow keys to steer, the up and down keys to control the speed and the space bar to jump. Respect the rules and don't bump into the other cars. Of course, this is just a video game, it's fiction, don't try this in real life!

Quantifiers Game. Bouncing Balls

Hello! Take this game to practise the use of quantifiers, it's called Boucing Balls. Follow these instructions: Look at the ball colour and destroy the other balls by shooting them into groups of three. You must clear all the balls in order to proceed. Use the mouse to aim and shoot. It's more difficult than you may think. Be smart and quick. Come on!

If your answer is right, you will be able to help the ant to reach the farthest possible distance. To do so, click and pull the string to set the throwing angle and power.
