Saint Patrick's Day is on March 17th and it's a national holiday in the Republic of Ireland. St Patrick brought Christianity to Ireland and is the patron of this country. He used a kind of clover called shamrock to explain that The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit are all the same. There are more legends about him, one of them tells us he drove snakes out of Ireland. As in Ireland, St Patrick's Day is celebrated in other countries, people with Irish heritage proclaim their origins and dress themselves in green. Dublin's parade is amazing but the largest takes place in New York and it lasts for hours.
